
Nicolette M. Dakin, LCSW

Nicolette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in mental health. She is licensed in both Vermont and New York. She completed her Master’s in Social Work at New York University, after falling in love with Psychology while completing her undergraduate degree. Prior to entering private practice, Nicolette provided psychotherapy in both community-based and hospital settings, including The NYC LGBT Community Center, The Institute for Community Living, Downstate Medical Center, and New York-Presbyterian Westchester. She has completed post-graduate training in a number of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Nicolette is also an academic, instructor, and researcher in the field of Social Psychology at the City University of New York. This unique breadth of knowledge informs her clinical practice, bringing a social justice framework to her work and allowing her to draw connections between social systems, identities, and individual experiences.
